It was a privilege to be in the chamber earlier to witness this incredibly powerful and effective speech from Charlotte Nichols.

We canβt try to balance the books on the backs of young people by cutting or squeezing essential SEND support.
Spoke with Iain Dale on cross Question recently.
π I can wholeheartedly recommend @russellwarfield.bsky.socialβs take on the world.
This book on my Assembly colleague @zackpolanski.bsky.social and @greenparty.org.uk is worth bookmarking. π
"Britain has decided that the girl who fought the Talibanβs agenda, who learned English in secret, who turned down a forced marriage, who won her place, is an asylum risk.
Her name is Bahar. She is 18 years old. She did everything we asked of her."
Proud to be a signatory to this letter. The proposals are a dangerous, authoritarian attack on individual liberty β when the proper solution is funding our courts.
Thank you for your advice.
A group of young Londoners standing in a semi circle smiling.
So good to catch up with @alanclarkg.bsky.social and @jo-fang.bsky.social along with the awesome @londonygs.bsky.social tonight to hear about their great work supporting doorknocking across London and answer their questions about being a councillor and an Assembly Member. π π
I see 20mph as a benefit to people driving. Less stressful? Calmer, safer and in towns and cities no change to journey time which is controlled by the number of vehicles getting through the lights each cycle and not by the speed driven between traffic signals.
Would this be the same Iran conflict Kemi Badenoch has just spent an entire week calling Keir Starmer a coward for not wanting to join?
Grimly and outrageously it looks like that.
Telling that this article is written by a BBC social affairs editor and not their health editor.
The BBC thinks being trans is a social contagion problem QED
Paul Carruthers of Gender Plus: "NHS England's interpretation of the evidence is in contrast to every reputable expert body in the field of transgender healthcare and, as such we will assess their policy document and evidence-based review to better understand how they arrived at this decision."
Youβd think in this era of βMPs face increasing dangerβ there would be more outrage at newly elected Green MP Hannah Spencer being assaulted by transphobes but itβs nowhere to be seen on BBC News app even if you search her name
That goes without saying - just interesting that in current global context their war on motorist frame produces interesting results.
A reminder that humans in cars - notably omitted from this thanks to motonormativity - kill 1.2m people every year
π Perhaps theyβll also discover driving slower (55mph limits on motorways and 20mph on local roads) saves fuel?
Listened back. It was Nick Robinson not Justin Webb FYI.

Thanks for adding detail.

Listened back.
Have listened back again. Was Nick Robinson responding to Jonathan Hall who had raised free speech and Graham Linehan.
βPolice arrested a man for being anti-trans at an air port. Something I think almost no one defends nowβ
Today programme 6:56:54 timestamp
Item starts 6:52:10
That is what came across. Iβm going to listen back.
The transphobia was so blatant and irrelevant. π€·ββοΈ
Today programmeβs transphobia is utterly blatant. Just been shoe-horned into a discussion about definitions of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.
Grim that someone is traipsing around agitating with anti trans propaganda.
Was that outside Highbury Station?
Sky at dusk with leafless tree branches in silhouette overhead.
My weekend walks usually involve photos of fly tips and potholes but today I looked up for relief from the relentlessness of news and things happening.
Happy International Womenβs Day to all women. π³οΈββ§οΈ
On International Womenβs Day a reminder that my Alice had a mother and a sister and grannies, aunts, girl friends and girl cousins.
They all loved her as a woman.
When the transphobes say they speak for all women and are protecting women and girls, they are wrong.
All Women Must Stand Together on International Womenβs Day
βIf we turn against our trans siblings β and against each other β we only end up deepening the divisions that others are so keen to sow amongst us.β

Really looking forward to being on @zackpolanski.bsky.social @boldpolitics.bsky.social with Dylan on 23rd March at Hackney EartH! π
Today I am taking time to remember the hundreds of thousands of people in Britain who lost their lives in the pandemic, and to pay tribute to all those in the NHS and public health fields who worked tirelessly to manage the disease and save lives. #CovidDayofReflection
