Yeah honor other religions is perhaps an issue. A lot of these people seem to me like they enjoy the community and spirituality aspects of Christianity but don't actually agree with or believe in the core tenants of the religion. Oh well.

I don't ever remember anyone translating speaking in tongues, it was just an expression of the spirit. My mum used to pray and speak in tongues over me when I was sick.
Yeah there was a lot of speaking in tongues when I was younger, but when the church got involved with bethel it was all prophetic words and signs. I remember once we were all convinced we had gold leaf manifested on our hands - until I looked up and saw we were sitting under glittery Xmas baubles
