A plastic bag with bright red letters that say Big Gulp
A bright red box with plastic bags inside. The box reads 1 gallon drink bag.
Starting a series called “when in the USA”.
Example 1. At the Dallas airport you can buy a 1 GALLON bag to fill with your choice of pop.
I feel for whoever is their seat mate.

Jellies shoes at the exhibition. Two pairs on display: candy red in the foreground and gold in the background. Jellies shoes look like netted plastic moulded into flats.
A screenshot of British Vogue displaying jellies shoes for sale at the Row for £860 each pair. Two shoes are captured, red and blue.
Jellies were one of those shoes that all the it-girls had. I never did because my mom thought they looked like cheap plastic shoes! And now they’re back in style, with some being sold at over £800!

The entrance to the Dressed to impress exhibition that incorporates neon signage, teal and purple colours and a 80s mall vibe.
A picture of my mom in a mall-styled space where shoes are exhibited behind a large glass vitrine. She is looking at shoes in the “dressed for success” theme.
A mock theatre entrance with movie posters saying “now playing”. The posters are for “Working Girl”, “Miami Vice” and “Fast times at Ridgemont High”
A wall panel with credits for the exhibition designed as a mall directory.
One of the things I enjoyed at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto was seeing the branding and design of their “Dressed to impress” exhibition was. Hellooooo 80s!
