There are people on eBay and Etsy that sell USB eurorack power supplies for ~50 USD. That would be enough for one module. And you could just have sitting on your desk. But the real fun of modular comes from combining different modules together (usually to make stupid noises)
You can look into the Tiptop Happy Ending kit. That gives you a power supply, rails to hold it, and a flying bus board to connect it to the power. That’s probably the cheapest and easiest way.
