Everything we are doing now is a panic, and even that is being fought by the right.
We should be vastly reducing our reliance on cars. We should be looking far more at reducing meat production (and I say that as a meat lover).
With the rise in AI now as well, which will take many traditional jobs..

Personally I have the nasty suspicion that our society will collapse. We have squandered decades of opportunity.
We should have been building nuclear power, but failed. We should have been putting solar onto every new build and preparing the grid, but we failed.

Truly horrible, and one of only 2 diseases that have been eradicated (the other being rinderpest, a terrible cattle disease with close to 100% mortality). We came close to eradicating polio, but that made a resurgence.

That's basically what happened to Beardsley while he was illustrating La Morte D'Arthur. He started incredibly strongly, particularly with the Merlin illustration, and was reduced to doing simple block images of flowers after a few months.

Yep. I wrote a coupke of novels during lockdown and have sold them at events and always come away in profit, which makea me a successful author :-)
