I chose the Coniacian because I really really love Geosternbergia. I had to make sacrifices of some really cool animals that did not live at this time. Especially the free swimming echinoderm, Uintacrinus. Please forgive spelling mistakes, I also split and lumped some genera.
I used Matt Dempsey's amazing Pteranodon reconstruction to get the pterosaur's proportions down, then scaled all of the other animals to that. 1 cm roughly equals 1 foot.
I loved the amazing text of Oceans of Kansas by Micheal J Everhart. He put the formations of Kansas in an easy to understand context. I never appreciated how large these formations are and how much time they cover before his book.
