I’m sitting here pulling hair out of the roomba… getting grumpy, and I just realized I’m doing maintenance on my household robot, who helps do chores around the house. I freaking live in the future - and that’s awesome. I’m not grumpy anymore.
I’ll be honest… like a lot of folks, I’ve been leaning more into light lagers over the last couple of years, and I think that 2025 is going to be my “back to malty beer” era.
I haven’t heard any updates for a while, but the last I heard they were still working to get their doors open!
Setting a better goal for myself right now… for as much reading and research I do in a given week, I need to actually be writing a certain amount of time. What that breakdown looks like? I have no idea… but writing time HAS to make it on my calendar.
Best Christmas gift ever? Yeah, I think so. His name is now Taco… and he’s the best little creature in my house, now. Huge thanks to Brewhaus Dog Bones for connecting us with this little guy. He’s perfect.
The balance is tough… it used to be that I could say 9:30pm on a Monday - perfect time for a show! Now, my whole family is still awake an hour later and staring at me to do… I don’t know… something? Certainly not to run to the basement to talk to someone else. #DadLife

I have a LOT of growlers laying around the basement, but for years have only had 7 or 8 displayed hanging above my couch… all of those are now places that have closed, and it’s heartbreaking.
It’s always heartbreaking when a local brewery closes its door - but it definitely doesn’t mean that there’s a bubble popping, nor does it mean that the places that are currently opening up are doomed to fail.
