My band released its 3rd album this morning a good few decent tracks on there if you enjoy noisy melodic music. I'll add some links in the comments @distrokid.com #altrock #garagerock #orgcore
Great seeing Soul Asylum in Glasgow tonight, new songs working well with the classics, a brilliant catalogue of songs..
Really enjoyable listen and another dozen albums to check out on top of an already excellent 2024..
That was a great listen, loads of promising bands that I didn't know alongside the handful I did. Off to go and listen to a dozen of these, starting off with Hedge and and Latebloomer..
Great album (I wish I was a girl is my favourite track), Recovering the Satellites is my favourite counting crows album. August.. is worth the hype. I've tons of time for Saturday nights/ Sunday mornings too

@oklahomalefty.bsky.social end of year lists always resonate, and I always find some great music that would otherwise pass me by my highlights this year from it are:
Ezra Cohen
John Snodgrass
Broken Gold
New Junk City
Restorations
The Blackburns
Shit Present
Makewar
That's a lot of highlights..
Yeah, loads of high points and motor cycle drive by and God of wine are spectacular deep cuts.
(Dookie is a master piece, of course 🤘)
Post a PERFECT album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana or Pearl Jam
I still buy cds so my spotify is skewed towards bands whose cds are expensive it tough to get (pearl jam and collective soul). Hot Water music released a few pre album singles that kicked them up in my listening. But yeah, this is my spotify year...
I listened for 8,980 minutes in 2024. What about you? #SpotifyWrapped

My bluesky still doesn't feel very personalised(it'll take time i guess), a few more lists like this will help
Looking forward to my annual trawl through the ones I don't know, always rewarding!

Great guitar tones from the gig on Saturday night (albeit sounded much better in the room)
He's got an interesting 'valve' unit that sits beside the amp as well (might not be valves at all, but that's my guess), not sure what that brings, but it is a great sound overall.
I reckon Philip Sayce has the best live guitar sound going (subjectively and from my limited perspective). Anyone else have suggestions of guitarists who's sound live is different class?
Ten bands/artists that have carried me for a while:
The Beatles
Rush
Van Halen
Soul Asylum
Collective Soul
Pearl Jam
Jimmy Eat World
The Gaslight Anthem
Dave Hause
The Menzingers..
Post 2.
