This was their initial update after the law passed before we knew we actually just had about two days. Most of us now have invalid licenses or are lost in the confusion of everything else.

Part of the reason the whole country hasn't been screaming about trans Kansans who drive being made criminals overnight is because there's so much else that's unconstitutional and horrifying.

But part of it is because it's happening to trans people.

I'm not going to lie - it's extremely troubling to me that this law and its obvious implications hasn't dominated national news for the weeks since its passing.

It is very hard not to have a safe choice to use the bathroom in public.

It may be impossible to continue living, working, eating, etc without a valid driver's license if your life was built around driving and the assumption that your license wouldn't be invalidated overnight by the legislature.
