Hearing this from the American right is always especially annoying as it is a rabidly anti-Muslim. They talk about Muslims in our society the way Nazis ranted about Judeo-Bolshevism threatening their society.

Honestly, prop tax thing makes be pretty bitter cause it is essentially older voters who are taking action that will result in maintenance getting deferred, schools losing money, etc. Zero thinking about the next generation of people who WILL have to handle the issues created by defunding stuff now

So you will have young people bearing a higher load of the tax burden at the state and local level. Local services will get cut cause of policies to benefit the oldest writhing a locality. Couple that with insane housing prices, and I think you could see nasty fights caused by these tax burdens

I kinda wonder if we’re in for big intergenerational political fights in like 10-15 years due to the social safety net basically being more strained.

You have less workers to fund a huge amount of entitlements. You also have a bunch of states ( driven by older homeowners) cutting prop taxes.

JC has been marching left and any Dem who isn’t insane would be able to win it

This is absolutely unhinged behavior on the part of the State Board

Missouri has basically engineered a giant budget crisis in both KC and STL by forcing them to fund their state-controlled police departments at absurd levels

You can maybe win 35-40% of the vote with some level of investment, but fundamentally they are not going to become a Dem bloc

I grew up in rural America and fundamentally people there are just conservatives who think conservative policies are good. They like the “anti-woke,” Christian Nationalis, anti-urban policies the GOP wants to embrace. It’s really just that

Seems their theory of victory is basically genocide and I’m horrified to see what unfolds in Iran and then (maybe) the Americas

Legitimately terrified that if he goes for Cuba the US is gonna launch a “White Terror” on the population

March 2026 rapidly turning into the March 2020 of Trump's Second Term

No Steve Mnuchin or WARP Speed or Democratic House to save us this time though.

Wonder if the midterms end up being a total blowout (D+10) would result in a giant purge

JC going turbo lib is baked in at this point I think. Real big thing is going to be if Wichita undergoes a similar political trajectory as the GOP gets a huge amount of votes from there

I kinda feel like modern US politics is a race between the wider voting public taking the rapidly expanding fascist movement seriously versus that movement getting another go of it in ‘32 or ‘36

Timeline where the Iran War spirals into a regional war which then spirals into The Awakening

Satisfying ending would see him getting blown out in Super Tuesday 2028 and having to suck the dick of whoever is the GOP nominee

Man who sold his soul for power only to get thrown to the garbage in the end

I need one of these fuckers to takeover a dying newspaper in southeastern Kansas if they are so goddamn worried about how “real rural American patriots” are treated

I do think most Americans are fundamentally uncomfortable with authoritarianism in practice and it’s why I do think the GOP is going to burn itself out this time around

Turns out constantly going on podcasts and TV saying “we are going to wipe away 50% of white collar middle class jobs” was a really bad PR move!

I really do think this is going to backfire *really* bad for the Kansas GOP - costing them the governor's office and their precious supermajority

Eventually we will win at the national level and wipe these laws away

Nightmare cyberpunk where Megacorp that runs network of concentration camps basically says “We will obliterate your town’s finances if you don’t surrender, so let us in or say goodbye to functioning infrastructure”

>Congressional Committee investigates this. Reveals severe misconduct by the military and Reagan Administration

>Joesph R. Biden Jr. is elected President in 1988

Feel like this issue could be partially fixed by having 90% of the soldiers die when the Upside Down collapsed

Would like for us to enforce *some* standards of conduct among our members. Is there not a single reasonable, moral person in the state of Maine willing to jump in the race?

Sucks!

Their strategy seems to be “We love Mr. Trump and will bring His Revolution to Kansas” and I simply do not think that’s going to play very well in November

24.02.2026 15:26 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Really need to see the Kansas GOP get blown out in November
