However, at the bottom of the page, it's revealed that the whole date scene is a romanticized daydream thought up by Vector. As he narrates his "true story," Charmy is there to clear things up with the viewer. Daydream Vector: "Uh.. the stars are pretty tonight... like you" Daydream Vanilla: "Oh, you hunky charmer, you~" Real World Vector: "That's how it happened!" Real World Charmy: "He actually stumbled and fell on his nose!"
