Escape From LA is a goddamn American classic and these scenes (and Snake's roundball rebellion) are perfect.
I wouldn't turn away from a medal recognizing me for working every day for the last 15 years without a single cup of coffee or alternative caffeine delivery system.
Today at The Reveal: Spurred by Alex Ross Perry's VIDEOHEAVEN and Criterion's "VHS Forever" series I wrote a bit about video stores, what we had, what we lost, how it made us feel, and what it all meant. (Also, we're making everything at The Reveal free all week.)
Timmy knows only a lightning strike can stop him. Doubles down.
This is an amazing thing that will not be minimized by me pointing out that this image looks like an evil wheat biscuit caught in a web of bubble gum.
As someone who has never been very good at DOOM, this does not make me feel good.
working with a lot of cuteness
I see a snow plow from the Pixar world of Cars -- Stock Market rorshach, America's favorite game
βthe cost of gas doubling is a small price to payβ is an incredibly funny thing to say as the head of a political movement that in many ways is still built on a nationwide psychosis triggered by having to go about four weeks without a haircut six years ago.
Thank God I found this article. I had already muddled the hemlock, thinking there was nothing to do after not setting my clock forward an hour.
"That'll pair beautifully with my mint majesty tea."
Steve Gelbs is getting so good as a fill-in play-by-play guy for the #Mets
THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!
So sorry to hear this, Matt. Youβre the legit best. Long may the Mzs.press store reign

Iβm 10 pages into Albert Brooksβ 2030, which he published in 2011, and heβs already predicted Ozempic, life extension obsession, MAGA, and AI companions.
17-year-old flamethrower replaced by a rounded 40-year-old in the #WBC.
Joseph Contreras, the giant-killer! #WBC
Same as Morrissey
Maybe someone a little more grounded this go around? Storylines are chaotic as hell right now. Hard to keep up.
The idea of the Rapture was invented by a random preacher in 1830 & is based solely on a suuuuuuuper creative interpretation of a single line of text from Thessalonians. In light of that, I am proposing it's actually "Rap? Sure!" & you have to defeat Jesus in a freestyle rap battle to go to Heaven
yeah itll be some half measure
The reality is, it was a failure on TV and film that had a cult following. Disney isn't spending tens of millions to bring it back 20 years later with the creator (rightly) in culture jail.
She was really good. The show was repetitive as hell. I used to have to recap it and the main cast got kidnapped like 20 times
Can we add some Castle cosplay?
I have zero faith this will ever happen for various reasons and I'm also exhausted by the false hope. This feels like the 11th "announcement coming" trickle and it winds up being a crappy game, comic, or convention appearance.
Would be delighted to be wrong.
