I'm just getting up to speed with #DCSoWhite and I am loving it. DC has some of the best and most interesting Black characters, but barely gives them space to breathe. They don't even capitalize on wins like Mr. Terrific after the Superman movie last year. Shit is infuriating. 1/2

A bowl of hamburger curry on a bed of brown rice

I asked my hubby to make me one of my mom’s staple meals I used to have as a kid - hamburger curry. Just ground beef, yellow potatoes, a bag of frozen carrots and peas, and S&B curry, over a bowl of brown rice for me. This is some comfort I was needing. ❤️

My point here was that the people who are struggling the most aren’t always the most obvious ones. Check in on your friends, tell them what they mean for you and listen to them when they speak. Try hear what they’re not saying.
