Oops! Deleting my stupid comment!
Omg a terrible song by an AI created "actor" about how she's really a product of human spark and ingenuity despite what the anti- AI H8ers think.
ooooh temu figured out it's now shorthand for "cheap off-brand garbage" and is not happy about it
Trying to ban "from the river to the sea" is almost identical to trying to ban "Always was, always will be"
Imagine a political party trying to do the latter - they'd be rightfully driven like a tent peg.
Caving in to a foreign influence operation because it's easy is pathetic.
Very proud moment for Australia as a whole type of stock market pattern is now named after the national animal

oh wow it's like Iran and Venezuela are two wildly different countries whose governments respond very differently when attacked
My take on the Iranian asylum seekers. The famous ones and the not so famous ones. johnmenadue.com/post/2026/03...

Great to see this unity!

The system During my time in advocacy I often speak to people who are doing academic work about poverty. I was once asked why those of us in poverty do not trust the system, and it's an easy question to answer. Robodebt Robodebt isnt the only reason but it encapsulates everything wrong with the system that those of us constantly fight against. From the start it was welfare advocates that raised the red flag that there was something wrong. As more people came forward to them rather then the system that was causing harm. As welfare advocates on twitter Asher Wolf and Lyndsay Jackson and many others started speaking out they were constantly ignored by government They set up the βnot my debtβ website and helped people navigate a system that was determined to cause harm
"We know that the powerful will never be held accountable because they've built and protected this system. The overall system has been built to punish the poor and protect the powerful and it's still happening"

You can tell how much the Albanese govt cares about the poor victims of the Iranian regime by the way they ... change visa laws to stop them seeking protection here.
Jake Paul gets on stage at the Trump rally and has the nastiest pit stains I've ever seen
(it also appears the crowd doesn't know who he is)
finally someone with the gravitas of fdr and churchhill's wartime addresses. we shall fight on the seas, we shall fight on the shores, we shall dance like nobody's watching.
Note: the phrase "700,000 people" refers to 700,000 actual human beings who have been forced to abandon their homes, flee, live in fear and worse.
A political cartoon by Megan Herbert in which a journalist asks Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, " Have you just committed us to a war?" And the PM responds, " No, I've committed us to a (preemptive retaliatory de-escalation action to protect and defend Australians and other citizens in response to a request by our new strategic partner by sending defensive missiles & surveillance equipment to protect the airspace and assist the region with its collective self-defence against reprisal attacks that come as a result of the ongoing operation launched as an anticipatory response to perceived threats by historical allies acting against the established international rule of law who are too powerful for us to in any meaningful way challenge.) There's a very big difference." The words in brackets are arranged in such a way that they completely fill the word WAR written in a huge, hulking, bold khaki font.
A war by any other name.
My cartoon in today's @theageaustralia.bsky.social
It is extremely difficult to construct a practical case against this position. Net Zero is now as much about patriotism as it is about climate change.

lol whatβs she gonna advise them on? How to grieve unconvincingly?
This is hilarious.
Also, completely enraging.
Dubai was built with slave Labor and the blood of thousands of South Asians, Asians and Africans. They canβt escape. Iβm sick of hearing about how fucking f βdevelopedβ it is. Skyscrapers and wealth are not markers of civilisation if theyβre built on destitution and death

Recommendations and outcomes The investigation made findings of serious corrupt conduct against 2 individuals. It also concluded that there was insufficient admissible evidence to establish the alleged offences against either Mr Withnell or Ms Wilson beyond reasonable doubt. Key admissions and statements made during this investigation are not admissible in criminal proceedings. It is therefore not appropriate to refer either to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. The NACC Act invests the Commission with corruption prevention and education functions and the power to make recommendations as part of the Commissionβs investigation reports aimed at preventing corrupt conduct from occurring again. In this case, however, the Royal Commission made a number of recommendations to improve the budget process and agency responses to the Commonwealth Ombudsman, and they have since been implemented.
NACC clears Morrison, Campbell, Musolino, & Halbert of corrupt conduct.
Withnell & Wilson were found guilty of "serious corrupt conduct", but aren't referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions because statements they made to NACC "are not admissible in criminal proceedings"
The system works!
One of the things that really trips a lot of analysts, including ones with real skin in the game, is that they refuse - absolutely refuse - to accept how stupid Trump very obviously is. He has no knowledge of anything, is incapable of learning, and only remembers the last thing to happen to him.
lol, of course the ADL is claiming that saying "Operation Epstein Fury" is antisemitic. What a joke of an organization.
Per reports, about a half a million Lebanese people are now homeless, having been expelled from southern Lebanon by the Israeli invasion, or bombed out of south Beirut. Apparently this massive crime is not an issue for Albanese.
I cannot believe we're reading another article where the Labor caucus are acting like they're hostages. Shut the fuck up and do some politics. Break something. I have zero sympathy for any of you.
