Based of a real in game dialogue in pikmin 4 where Olimar describes the object with “ strange… despite its claiming tones, something about this melody makes my palms sweat and sends shivers up my spine. It’s as if it’s sending me a warning about unexpected troubles in the future…” a reference to the pikmin 3 game where he is imprisoned by the plasm wraith. In this comic Schnauz, the treasure appraiser, shows off the memory song treasure to Olimar in hopes of hearing his opinion on it. Schnauz: this device plays a beautiful melody that elicits feelings of nostalgia. There’s something so familiar about it and yet at the same time it’s completely unknown. Isn’t it a beauty?” Olimar in awe: oh !
Schnauz turns on the music: Mysterious to be sure ! Olimar upon hearing the music starts to dissociate from the stress the music is causing him. Moss realizes this and nudges his hand and licks the back of his helmet in hopes of grounding him. Olimar only seems to get worse and he starts shaking and staying silent despite being visibly stressed
Moss upon realizing that this was not working, runs to what is causing his stress to interrupt the song. Olimar and Schnauz tumble back due to Moss’ sudden actions in surprise. Olimar is confused and disoriented at the sudden shift. Schnauz is baffled seeing Moss eat the treasure in front of him. Schnauz: MY TREASURE ! Olimar is trying to pry open Moss’ mouth only to have Moss refuse and drag him along the dirt as he apologizes Olimar: sorry about that! I don’t know why she did that… moss! Release! Moss please!
