It’s wonderful to celebrate women achieving a lot now, and we should! But we still have a ways to go, and we shouldn’t become complacent when there are women worldwide losing rights as we speak (and those who never had them to begin with).
For International Women’s Day, remember that many of the rights women enjoy today were gained by loud and angry women who spoke out despite the cost to them personally because it would benefit us all. We could all be channeling more of that energy today.
