Had to stop cataloguing on this one tonight, my dad’s last ever cd. Keane was my dad’s favorite modern band when he died. They released this while he was in hospice. I actually got it for myself to play for my dad, but he misheard & sounded touched I bought it for him… so it was his right there.
The numbers are way too close for comfort, but established scientists in favor over admin leaders driven by politics & conspiracies is something to savor AND rely on right now.

Going to a conference without your lil kids & then noticing your schedule includes:

One was a bellhop for NYC hotel. One ran a "chicken restaurant" that was a front for other activities.
I can get that. Sigh one of these days travel will be better again
Nice! Likewise, they should feel welcome to come say hi if they see me (even if I seem to be talking w/ someone-- it won't be an interruption).
It's a good group & definitely some people at different stages who'll be quite receptive to that dialogue. My fellows should join me/us in listening!

I had them in excrutiatingly heavy large boxes at first bc in my head the fewer boxes, the better. Nope! Moved then into many more, much smaller boxes for the second move.

A defendant used AI (**on his own**) to make a plan against his charges to then bring to his lawyer. Court rules that b/c the defendant willingly shared case info w/ a 3rd party (AI) that this case info was no longer protected by attorney-client privilege (read: the state could access it!).
Whoa! In a cautionary tale, federal judge holds that inputting privileged case info into an AI tool waives both attorney-client privilege and work-product protection. AI is 3rd party, voiding "reasonable expectation of privacy," judge ruled. Major implications here.

This is a big deal. Approval polls, like the media, courts, and Congress, can serve as vehicles for presidential accountability. We are watching in real time as the institutions that could hold this administration to account wither on the vine.
