A chart showing progress on painting miniatures. The newest column shows 2 ordered, 30 received, 10 prepared, and 28 completed. 42 more to go before 21 May!
Painting for our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con UK continues. This week painted a SPOILER and her SPOILER, 6 SPOILERS, and a great big SPOILER.
And I do mean big. Big!
Is dog. Confirmed.
Happy birthday!
I, too, will be 27 in a few months.
2x2 board covered in flat topped adobe buildings all of various styles and colours.
Another view.
And another.
Gangs of New Pavis! I wanted a layout where you can get right across the table without touching the ground. Lots of Prince of Persia leaping about. Looks good for 2x2. Need a few more buildings to take it up 2x3 or 3x3. Planning a forested ruin table which I will build myself from @fenrisgames.com
young tricolour husky laying comfortably harnessed in the co-pilot seat of my car. he's so relaxed he's even got the "van driver resting arm on windowsill" pose going on.
this new applicant for the co-pilot position seems entirely too relaxed about his chances for the job #DailyRainbow
I normally just have a cup of tea afterwards. But, yeah, that would help too.
Halfway through February, I started getting back into "at least 5 miles every day". The Achilles tendon on my left leg had a lot to say to me about that.
A friend bought me that as a gift last year. It's a lovely, lovely artbook.
I've spent ever so many hours wandering around Odyssey. It's wonderful Glorantha inspiration!
I've been assembling and prepping half a dozen SPOILERS tonight. Thanks to my dexterity and skill with a scalpel, they have all been anointed with my own blood.
And so have the desk, my coffee cup, my new magnifying lenses, the handle of the scalpel, and my trousers.
Bristle away. Rage, rage against the dying of the competence.
The game where you play as a Mongolian horseback courier is out today!? I think more than a few folks might be interested in that giveaway. Otherwise, here's the Steam page:
I've found they usually do but not always.
I say she settled. Whenever my brother left her behind, she would spend the afternoon sulking on the upstairs landing. And heaving the occasional theatrical "woe is me!" sigh.
Once she remembered to demand cheese after a walk, she would stop sulking.
First time I babysat my brother's dog, at first she would settle if I was fussing her. But got restless and went on patrol round the house a few times.
After that first day, she settled. She was used to coming round my house after a walk for a biscuit. But not at first to a long stay.
Big pale dude in black armour and black and grey clothing. His face is hidden by a masked helmet. Heβs mid swing with a great axe and thereβs a dash of blood on the blade.
5 pal figures. 2 flanking are both masked great axe warriors, the other 3 are a huge topless guy with beard, woman with ribcage corset and iron crown and 2 children. All have blood on their mouth.
Another Vivamort cultist. Heβs one of the cults guard dogs, mortals who serve in the hope they get bit one day and become a vampire. Love the dynamism on this guy. All but the kiddos are @fenrisgames.com sculpted by @mad-elf.bsky.social
I had one that surprised me last week. I bought 2 things from the same person and, because posting them together made the postage cheaper, he taped a Β£2 coin to a bit of card and popped it in the package to refund some to me.
My then group often played silly Call of Cthulhu one-offs for a change of pace. Among them were:
SAN and Sensibility.
The Deep One attack on Walmington-on-Sea.
Babysitters vs Cthulhu.
Mythos, She Wrote.
A sanity-blasting competition to grow the biggest marrow for the village fete.
It's only been a couple of days. This probably still feels like being on holiday.
It'll feel like actual forever home soon.
Play the dog!
Many years ago, we played "Five Go Mad In Innsmouth" as a one-off. I played Timmy the dog, who ended up the only survivor.
Hopelessly mad, of course. But alive.
Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey:
"Tax exiles like Isabel Oakeshott and washed up old footballers who mock ordinary people who stay in the UK and pay our taxes... As we protect them, it's only right for tax exiles to start paying taxes to fund our armed forces, just like the rest of us".

The "paint miniatures for our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con" project continues. Here's how it stands today, after I painted a SPOILER and some SPOILERS.
Dogs are the best sofa critics.
Good job! It's a lot better than many of my early attempts. And, to be honest, some of my later attempts too.
Welcome home, Rainbow!

I have hugs. Please take one.
I tried to think of something witty to do say but nothing happened.
So I'll just sit here and be very happy for you and the pup.
Happy birthday!
