anyway "backwards causation can't be ruled out" isn't a slam dunk; it's an abundance of caution. The data is strongly suggestive of increased risk of psychiatric illness during adolescent years.
No, they specifically screen for psychiatric conditions as part of pediatric care for everyone at that facility. So not a standard "well child screening."

That's taken way out of context. Cannabis use predates psychiatric diagnosis by an average of at least 1.7 years, and psychiatrict screening is standard on intake at the health facility where the study was conducted.
That's a scientist covering their bases. The study is pretty clear.
"The temporal order of cannabis use preceded incident psychiatric disorder diagnoses by a mean of 1.7 to 2.3 years, supporting the possibility of a contributory role. "
That's taken out of context. It talks about how the study design makes that unlikely, and also it reads:
