There’s a very good French film that was just made last year and it should be streaming. And Depardieu also starred in a TV version quite a while ago. There was a Disney release too that was very popular.
I can watch endless variations of this tale. Sam Claflin is one of my favorite British actors. A musical based on the story opens soon Off Broadway with Norm Lewis and Sierra Boggess, two of musical theater’s best singers. I already saw a workshop of the show and liked the score.
