I plan on voting for Janet Mills. Who will you be voting for?

Yeah, all fair criticisms! He should do better!
It seems perfectly plausible to me, although it definitely suggests that he is not the smartest or most observant person who's ever lived.
Obviously they're visible! The point is that your brain isn't constantly taking a snapshot of every frame of every video that you watch.
If that's what your brain does, good for you, you're a savant. But you need to realize that is not the norm.
Literally the whole point of that sketch is "Nazis used literal skulls lol, how absurd." The specific skull design wasn't the focus, it was the fact that a skull was used at all!
And at this point I can only conclude that you're trying very intentionally to be dishonest.
Either that, or you have literally no ability to develop a theory of mind. Which might be even more concerning.
*If* you watched that clip from Mitchell and Webb, you would know that Nazis used a skull symbol of some kind on their hats! That's about it.
That analogy makes no sense lol. World War 2 involved over 30 active belligerent countries, each with their own flag. And Platner's not claiming he didn't know what Nazi Germany's flag was!
Even in the still images you provide, the specific design is small and blurry unless you zoom in.
It honestly seems like you've never watched a movie before.
It's amazing that people are so incapable of making good faith criticisms of a candidate who is as flawed as Platner. He's got a strike zone the size of Texas and yet you're still throwing balls.
You can know what SS uniforms look like generally without having a specific idea of what the exact skull design looks like.
I'm not disputing that you can find screencaps with the skull in it! Obviously you can! The point is that when you're actually watching the movie (rather than arguing with someone on BlueSky) you're not looking for that, nor are you taking a mental snapshot of the specific design.
get a grip
I feel like you might be missing the point of that film if you're spending any time whatsoever mentally cataloguing the precise design of the skull symbols that appear on screen. It's also a quintessential "one and done" movie!
who cares?
"The German fleet has assaulted its jailer, but it is still in jail"
I suppose it's possible that Iran is avoiding targeting oil tankers for now due to escalation and/or environmental risks. If so, that could legitimately influence risk assessment for as long as that holds.
In theory, this shouldn't matter to shippers' risk assessment (bulk carriers are just as susceptible to targeting as an oil tanker), but realistically the sinking of an oil tanker is likely to make more of an impression.
Because car dependency is a fact of life for people living in the US! The price of gas has a larger and more direct impact as a result!
Approximately 0% of these people are saying car dependency is good.
You’re right to point that out, although I do think a lot of the urban design choices are downstream of the US’s relative size and emptiness during the relevant time period.
ever heard of a guy called Tim Houston
taxes are now glonzo
and don't forget: we lost eight servicepeople (so far), lost 3 F-15Es (so far), and seriously depleted our SAMs and long-range precision weapons! All to make things significantly worse!
fuck it let’s ask Grok
Tim Houston, but if the arrogance was justified and less obvious
oh
nuke what
I agree. There's nothing I can pinpoint that she clearly did wrong from a tactical standpoint, even with the benefit of hindsight. At the same time, I'm willing to entertain well-reasoned criticisms of her campaign. It's important to take whatever lessons we can.
