10 months for a basic substance use counselor license (bachelor level) is WAY too long for a processing time... I've demanded a way to make processing my licenses for my masters level to not take as long

Three tries of my reps in the state house contacting the Licensing Board and I don't get an answer or apology for why I wasn't reviewed in January; I was just told the reason I'm being reviewed and that I'll be on the agenda for March. Not impressed...

This is straight up dangerous for a whole host of reasons. There's a DEEPLY important reason why all providers that give a diagnosis have to hold a master's level education and follow thick ethical manuals (mine is over 50 pages). This is definitely worth contacting your members of congress over.
