It’s still a considerable upgrade to running on Xenia, it’ll get better mod support and better performance in general. The people working on this know what theyre doing, worst case scenario this will still be a great improvement to how people played this game on pc before and make it more accessible

Never played a single Dark Souls game and know very little about it in general, I'd have to go with Dark Souls I think. Progression is either wack or just doesn't exist in N&B depending on how you play, and Weird West being cut means you have to go back and forth between worlds a ton which sucks

Weaknesses: - Unskippable cutscenes - Some chapters feel half-baked - Minor bugs - Excessive makeout scenes - Slow segments in gameplay

Joining the Banjo Discord and talking in the "Nuts & Bolts Datamining & Modding" thread could also be good, but if a recomp actually starts I think making a groupchat or dedicated server for it would be a better idea so it could be a more organized but idk. Thought I should mention it just in case.

If you need more info I recommend getting in contact with @oliegamertv.bsky.social on here though, he's the 1 guy I mentioned that currently looks into the code of the game and could give you more info on how Nuts and Bolts works at that level.

If you wanna try recomping though a prototype of Nuts & Bolts did drop last year that has no changes from release (minus a 2 word dialogue edit), a functioning debug mode, and unobfuscated code which should be your best bet.

The only other modding we have is ancient ass mods by a guy who hasnt touched the game in half a decade with no downloads or tutorials on how (unless I just missed smth I wouldnt put it past me). It really sucks because I wanna make stupid shit like a kaizo mod or smth but there is no way for me to.

How much can you do? Cause I got a 10-15$(CAD) Steam bounty for anyone who figures out texture editing since I really wanna do stupid shit like make skins for Banjo. The only modern modding we have right now is Blueprint editing, which is only good for bypassing part limits/Trolley customization.

Like out of all the people that I know who talk about N&B (which isnt alot), only 1 GUY does anything code related, and even then they dont know where to start for a recomp. If more people knew about the demand for a recomp, then we could potentially get more people and actually get a recomp started

I've said this to multiple people, but if you wanna see that happen then you've gotta spread the word. Be the change you wish to see in the world and all that, there's no chance for someone/a group of people to make a recomp of N&B if people don't know there's a niche for it.

Limited edition food/drink items suck man. Like if you end up really liking the taste of the item you just have to grapple with the fact that you may never see it again after like a month, it’s happened to me twice and is about to happen to me a third time with Frito Twists

You know it’s funny Nuts and Bolts is my favourite game of all time, however I kinda don’t like ToTK that much? Like I think it’s a good game but I do find it worse than BoTW in some areas. It’s a good game but I just kinda don’t like it lol (it’s vehicle system is ASS though I hate it so much)

This reminds me, in elementary we went on a field trip and made these clay masks. At the end we painted them and 50% of people picked gold 40% of people picked silver, 9% of people picked bronze, and I was the ONLY ONE who picked copper. It was funny idk why I replied to you with the story though

I wish FNaF just keep doing games like that, or at least do it like Zelda where they return to the old formula every one in awhile (Ex. Link Between Worlds). There's still a lot of potential in its gameplay formula I feel but they haven't gone back to it since UCN. At least there's fanworks I guess
