🧠 As a psychologist specialising in misinformation and influence, I was grateful for the opportunity to share perspectives on how influence can occur through information - shaped by social influence, persuasion, and cognitive processes.
💻 By fostering a clear, consensus-driven understanding of what constitutes a "narrative" - and how these may influence us - it aims to empower AI systems to detect complex patterns, such as malign state influence, while avoiding reliance on opaque "black box" systems.
🔎 This innovative project is dedicated to developing a sophisticated tool for analysing and identifying narratives within the information environment.
🛡️ This week, I had the privilege of being invited by NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence to participate in the first workshop for the "Computational Narrative Ontology" project in Riga.
