i love aesthetic pics that have chessboards in them and the pieces are set up totally wrong or just an extremely weird position

Sat's night movie...
about following through.
Being there.
Nothing happening⦠yet.
But you never know. π

On the right of the image is a sheer cliff face marked with vertical striations; talus lies at its base. The left of the image is in almost total darkness, and the background is deep space.
This is a cliff on comet 67P/ChuryumovβGerasimenko.
It's about 1 km tall.
If you jumped from the top, it would take you 47 minutes to reach the bottom, and you'd probably be OK.
Soooo pi (Ο)β¦
If you round it, is itβs just 3?
Or, does the infinite bit do something that changes the rules, regarding the number following the decimal point?
*I guess I should find out what pi even *is* first, but I need to know this now - and think understanding pi will take some time.
Friday night's movie...
It's about somebody else cya.
Always good.

"We have an excellent stickpile of weapons, sir."
"Don't you mean stockpile?"
"I do not."
You are stronger than you think.
Maybe not as strong as one of the cursed machines from the haunted robot scrapyard, but you're pretty strong nonetheless.
Carry on.
A cinematic wallpaper for "StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm" features a massive, heavily armored Terran Battlecruiser illuminated by blue lights as it glides through a vibrant, glowing green and blue nebula in deep space.
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm was released 13 years ago today.
Swirls aside, what are we actually seeing here? Pretty much every single dot in the image is NOT a star, but a supermassive black hole (SMBH) millions of light years away, feeding on dust. The little "bow ties" (marked a few here) are SMBH launching jets of material thousands of light years! ππ§ͺ

Looking at some radio data hot off the MeerKAT telescope today! MeerKAT is a South African radio telescope with a huge field of view for astro. I'm calling this one "Radio Starry Night" bc a calibration error off that bright source has made a lovely swirly van Gogh sky if I may say so myself.

There's a bee on the right coming in for lunch!
Obligatory meme.
Not particularly spectacular, but here is one of my favourite photos from the early days of aviation.

Most economists agree that by the time you're 50, you should be living in a book-filled cottage at the edge of the forest and solving minor mysteries in your village with the aid of a curious ghost cat.

Iβm pretty sure this jingle is the sound of childhood and if youβve never seen βBack to the Futureβ then I suggest you take a good hard long look at yourself π
