I wouldn't say the descendants of kidnapped and enslaved Africans are exactly immigrants.

"The only good Indian is a dead Indian."
White settler colonialists have been promoting violence and genocide against Indigenous peoples on their own land for 500 years.
I will assert, straight up, that as a voter I am tired of voting, campaigning, sending in my pennies, for politicians who "compromise" by throwing me & people I love under the bus. My data is the 41% of eligible voters who stay home on election day. We know when the people show up Dems win.
Since everyone has more going on in their lives than internet arguments allow me to admit I had roughly 8k tabs open & meant to share this article which talks about the history of moderate Dems in California but I imagine isn't far off from the party as a whole belonging.berkeley.edu/corporate-de...
If this is even remotely true why do they keep telling us we need to throw the LGBTQIA community under the bus?
Do you imagine older men who call themselves moderates, with a vested interest in corporate funding for their political careers, are significantly different from their college age counterparts?
Before you let them force you to vote for Newsom read this, then push back
www.independent.co.uk/voices/biden...
I'm trying my best despite the predicted pushback.
I would suggest reading this before assuming a moderate Dem is a better or different choice than a Republican
www.independent.co.uk/voices/biden...
I used to believe that. This congress and the push for Newsom have convinced me that's no longer true.
If we vote for another conservative Dem we won't save our human rights. In fact the Dems in congress will just roll over for further loss of rights with a Dem in office. We need a Democratic candidate who stands for real progressive values if we want people to vote for them.
That's not what happens. We have been told that over & over. The handsome guy wins & our needs get ignored, or used as a bargaining chip to be given away as a "compromise" with the gop and it makes no difference. I was a young mother when Clinton failed to veto the "Contract With America" I remember
I haven't gotten a candidate who fully supported me and my priorities in my lifetime and I have been a voter since 1988.
Maybe run a white male candidate who supports women, LGBTQIA folks, the environment, civil rights, voting rights, human rights, people of color, and working people. That would be a big tent. If the Democratic party supported those people rather than throwing them under the bus it could work.
I think we know who she voted for.
A manosphere Dem is not on my side no matter how much he trash talks Trump. I am sick and tired of the party demanding my vote while they move further and further to the right. If they put him forward as their candidate it will be a sign that they see me and mine as dispoable.
And yet MeidasTouch consistently pumps up Newsom who says Dems need to be more "normal". He's part of that same way of thinking, that there isn't room to for anyone who is different.
The Birthday Party and the Scouring Of The Shire are my favorite parts of LOTR.
Read LOTR, preferably aloud, to someone you love, while snuggled up in your pjs. That will do it.
Iβve been begging for community support since I had a seizure and have gotten a very little response . Per usual yall at proven to be hypocritical
Does everyone have to start smoking again? I'm on board with the interesting faces and short shorts.
As this was happening you were told shoplifting and home invasions were grave threats you needed to abandon any pretense of sympathy to address.
Something to take into account on #InternationalWomensDay: Females may be just as likely to be autistic as males but boys are up to four times more likely to be diagnosed in childhood, according to a large-scale study. www.theguardian.com/society/2026...
That it was an AI error makes it categorically worse, in my opinion, not less. We value the lives of the "other" so little that we cn't even be arsed to do the due diligence ourselves before murdering 150 kids.

This time I didn't even have to snoop, they sat down at my table and I played tetris and listened to their conversations. I didn't have to make any effort.
My male friends are all reasonable human beings so I am always pretty incredulous when I run into toolbags like this

The drunk climbed up and started humping the back of a woman's head and I knew I had to get Rob out of there, because he would have hit him and looked like the bad guy.
Yeah, Indigenous religions across the board weren't legal to practice in the US until the American Indian Religious Freedom Act was signed on August 11, 1978
