A note before I leave. It's just the law of society it seems. Victims get ignored, harassed, stalked, investigated more than abusers. Rings true regardless of if we're talking about rape, physical assault, stalking or online harassment and cyber stalking. We can't mention our experiences, we can't use our own means to cope, everything is taken from us, even in places and communities where we are assured that's not the case and encouraged to not suffer alone or be silent. Our trauma is minimized by outsiders, ridiculed and often exploited to try and make a point that we are somehow the problem. Abusers never get held accountable. There's never reflection, apologies, or reparation for harm or damage done by them. They get coddled, protected, adored even. I think the tipping point today was having a former friend say "it didn't happen to me so I guess someone who abused you didn't do anything wrong,"

I want it to be known this is a huge problem in online and fandom spaces. What I experienced from them was wrong, painful, cruel, and I didn't deserve it. And more of you need to listen and grow a spine. I'm just tired of it. But I can do nothing and little can convince me the nature of our society will change in our lifetime. I want to say thank you to the friends I've made here, for your support, the conversations and time spent together, for letting me experience your creativity and humour. I hope you go on to be stronger than I am and live good lives. I will leave this message up for a couple days before I leave and delete my online presence.
