OT is commissioned on a different basis by different health boards. There's whole counties with no OT provision for children at all.
My child has learned heaps of terminology, but hates the way they are forced to write as if assembling Lego. Nothing flows naturally.
Either my kid's classmates use AI, or they're writing work that's contradictory and full of mistakes/wordy far beyond their years. Makes me wonder if I'm disadvantaging mine by expecting original work!
Having googled, what's wrong with suggesting they look for themes rather than drowning them with terminology?
It only gets worse, I've just been looking at my 13 year old's English notes. If I, with a degree in Humanities, has never learned what a semantic field is, why are they doing it at 13? And how does it help them actually write? It's meant to be a descriptive writing topic!

Our local hospital this week, one small box of masks tucked under the hand sanitiser dispenser. No signs asking if you might put one on, very few people wearing them. Doctor put one on once he saw we were wearing them.
I don't mind when people send emails...other than people who send contentious information at 16.52 on a bank holiday Friday so you can't get any further details till Tuesday. 😀
Especially when it takes roughly ten seconds to possibly identify the school from the very distinctive uniform, even if they did remove the actual wording from the logo.
Fortunate of course that the only school with spaces appears to be an oversubscribed Outstanding school in Rutland?
I might be able to find a tiny ounce of sympathy for her lengthy commute....if my kid's school transport didn't pick up at 7.30am every day to travel 15 miles.
Hilariously, we have a cafe near me called the "Noshery".
Our school one year stupidly booked for when most of a year group was on a residential. More than once I've ended up chasing round trying to access it when we miss it for some stupid reason like that.
Our school flu vaccinations weren't done till November, do you think moving them earlier in the term might help stop the kids spreading it?

My kid did them at school. To be honest I wish they would die out. Oranges pierced with skewers full of sweets that then sit mouldering until the Christingle service, where they light oversized candles and set reception kids parading round the church with them. Then kids want to eat the thing. 🤢
Ours is privatised. I'm lucky if I get one delivery a week.
@lner.co.uk the staff on the 16.06 from St Neots to Leeds on Saturday are all wonderful people and made my son's day. We were only on the train for about 15 minutes but he would happily have gone to Leeds to stay on it! 😀
