If you want a pro-indy majority, the math says:
✅ Vote 1: SNP (to secure the constituency).
✅ Vote 2: Another pro-independence party (Greens/etc).
Since these smaller parties have 0 constituency seats, their divisor is 1. Their votes count for full value, taking seats away from the Unionist block. 🤝

When SNP list votes are "maxed out" and discarded by the formula, those seats don’t disappear—they go to the next strongest parties. Usually, that’s the Tories or Labour. By voting SNP on the list in a "sweep" area, you are accidentally clearing the path for a Unionist MSP. 🤦‍♂️

In 2021, the SNP won 95% of the constituency seats in several regions. Because they were so successful locally, their millions of list votes were divided so many times they became mathematically worthless. They won zero list seats in most regions despite having the most votes. 🛑
