If Empanada caused his Mummy to fall, Grumpy feared he would resort to his rebel roots, instead of behaving like the young, gentleman housecat he had become.

And, Empanada the Cat arrived a little early, and overdressed—as was customary for a cat of her questionable background. Empanada’s story didn’t add up.
She was known to exaggerate, and meow in different accents.
