I'm not ignoring these very real things that you're mentioning by casually mentioning three other things about Texas that are unfortunate. I grew up in Florida. It's been going through a lot of the same stuff. That doesn't mean you can't be mad at or make fun of it for the more surface level issues.
Yeah, I'm sorry. I sincerely hope things improve, but I'm sure all the tech feudalists that moved their operations there from California aren't helping.

I agree, UT is a fine school system. But until the people of Texas stop electing Ted Cruz, allow women basic bodily autonomy, and stop acting like Texas is God's gift to the world, it will get made fun of.
