I have common sense now. I have wisdom, experience, and a more mature brain, so my thought processes are totally different, thankfully! I've learned coping mechanisms so I can often control how I externally react.
But the size of my emotions hasn't decreased. That's the best description I've got.
I've tried to explain emotional dysregulation. It always feels inadequate, but the other day, I heard a man talk about how, when you're a teenager, everything feels bigger and sharper, love and hate and fear and excitement are all MASSIVE, but then you grow out of that.
And I realized I never did.
