anyways I didn't want to do random encounters. It's always felt jarring to be walking and get battle music out of nowhere.
So now each map has spawn points and each bot has their own movement style. You can fight them or try to avoid them. Some will chase you, some will run away. #gamemaker
In the more recent pokemon games, did they ever do away with the random encounters in grass/caves/water?
