At long last, it's here: A Cinematic Time Capsule. 150 years of film history in 6 minutes. 1,702 films. (Ye gods, do I need a nap.) Enjoy, and by all means share! youtu.be/4-EG-H-o940

*pssst!* Hey.
I made something.
It took four months to complete.
Video drops tomorrow.
I can't wait to show you.
Chat, we are, indeed, so back: we've taken the original Criterion Collection supercut from two years ago, updated it, changed the music, fixed the editing, and (because we enjoy pain and suffering) replaced EVERY SINGLE CLIP from top to bottom. We have our reasons. youtu.be/SJ6u0F1ruzI?...
*tap* *tap* Is this thing still working?
Keep your eyes peeled.
I was vaguely aware that there was a Rutles tribute album. I was not aware that it included Daniel Johnston, Shonen Knife, King Missile, Bongwater, Galaxy 500, Syd Straw, and Penn Jillette's band Bongos Bass & Bob. And that's the MAINSTREAM portion. Weird as balls.

Probably the most inevitable video I've ever videoed. youtube.com/shorts/O8RtG...
The leaderboard at RO Central
Lemme have it: what's the top 5 songs on your Spotify Wrapped this year?
On Letterboxd I had all of two full reviews, and since one got moved to the RO login I figured I'd move the other one. I don't know why this and The Apple are the only ones to get the full treatment. (Wait, I remember: the attention span of a caffeinated hummingbird.) letterboxd.com/reckonedopin...
Woo! The wall of musicalitiness is done! I finally have a viable filming background! Now I just need to solve my expensive tech issues! *boogies*

We finally got around to the video we've been scared to tackle: the top 50 NSFW music videos of all time. Yes, there is nudity and adult content. It is, shall we say, a bit of a ride. If you're over 18, enjoy!

Hey! Let's all play a little game I like to call "How Much Work Can I Put into a Video that YouTube Is Just Gonna Yoink off the Internet Anyway?"
So yes, new spur-of-the-moment video drops this week. Watch this space. Man, this is a bad idea.
...and here we see the scrappy feral YouTuber, freshly awakened from his long hibernation, emerging blinking in the midday sun as he leaves his burrow to make the long journey back to his Adobe Premiere window....
(Yes, I'm getting back to work. Next video's script written. Stay tuned.)
Yesterday I watched someone's personal Greatest Films of All Time list on YouTube, and spent the entire time thinking, "Ye gods, what the hell is THIS bullsh*t?" Sadly, the video was mine. #amIgonnahavetodothisagain? #trusttheprocess #siiiiiigh
YES, another new video! For the second video in our we-have-two-so-it's-a-series-now series "200 in 200," we bring you "Burned Images," a collection of 200 fire scenes taken from movies from all eras, genres, and artistic inclinations. Hope you like it, and please share!

So when I took a couple months off from editing, it didn't mean I also took time off from scheming and plotting. Bad news is that I don't actually know how to relax. Good news is that you get two videos in the space of a week.
New video drops tomorrow. It was hella fun to do. Watch this space.
For the inaugural video in our new Small Answers to Small Questions series, we tackle one that has plagued mankind for very tiny values of "plagued": Why the #%@$ is Michael Bay's "Armageddon" in the Criterion Collection? Enjoy! Share! youtu.be/eoaTGckvYnc
What in the name of decency is Adam doing? He's enjoying a lovely bagel with cream cheese and chili crisp. He's also putting the finishing touches on a new video, while celebrating that he can finally justify buying this %#$!ing DVD. Coming soon!
Since I had the pleasureβnay, the privilegeβ of seeing The Apple on the big screen last month, I decided to move my review from my personal page to the RO Letterboxd account. I think it's happier over there.

Things have been quiet in Reckoned Opinionburgβthat last video burned me out more than expected. But I'm here to reassure you that things are happening in the background: a new shorts series, the next '90s alternative countdown, a few supercuts, and a back-pocket surprise or two. Watch this space.
Sometime between last night and this morning we've crossed the 400 subscriber threshold (!!!), and I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for your collective vibrant awesomeness. Y'all rule!
I really like that. I was trying to work a card game angle, but couldn't quite get at it. Thank you!
IT'S HERE! The once-a-decade Sight & Sound Critics Poll is perhaps THE definitive listing of the greatest movies ever made, and we are pleased to present it all: the top 250 (actually 264), all in the space of 16 minutes. Share! Enjoy! Argue! All of that!

Tomorrow, the video drops. Finally. Watch this space.
I know things have been quiet on the Reckoned Opinions front, but I have been hard at work on a project that I can't fully believe I'm even attempting. It's about 73% done as I type this, and I seriously cannot wait to share it with you all because...just... [wild gesticulations indicating bigness]
Calling on the collective brain trust: In the aftermath of prepping for the last video, I am now in possession of a large number of beautiful/cool/interesting album covers on card stock, about 3 1/2 inches square. Any ideas on what I should do with them?
I want an app where every time I type a movie title, it tacks on the release year in brackets.
Just in time for Record Store Day, the Reckoned Opinions 50 tackles the top fifty album covers ever made, give or take. Check it out on the Tubes of You at youtu.be/WEbSlOhfa4g, and let us know what would (and wouldn't) be on your own list. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Pleased to announce that we have transitioned from the index cards phase of the creative process to the sticky notes on the monitor phase. New video drops next week.
