Good to know:
Whenever your kindle is online, the Zon can remove books on it without warning. (It already happened to Orwell's 1984 in 2009.)

How to back up your books from the Zon?
Be on a computer and open the Zon in your browser
Go to 'Contents and devices' on your Zon account
Go to 'Books'
Click on 'More Actions' and choose 'Download & transfer via USB'
Or search for a visual guide on Google/duckduckgo

PSA: The Zon is removing your ability to backup your kindle books! So back them up while you still can.
Why would you want to back up your books?
Because technically you don't OWN the books that you buy on the Zon. You're buying a LICENSE to read them, and licenses can be revoked.
