haven't read the paper yet (will do so next!) so maybe this is addressed but i always feel like my biggest criticism of trying to use an LLM to predict baseball (or any sport honestly) is that baseball is a structured language and therefore an LLM isn't the appropriate tool for this problem

2. WBC!! this is the first year since we’ve partnered with NPB and the first time since Hawk-Eye was installed in Tokyo Dome, meaning we’ll be able to provide more extensive data for games played there.
1. we’re going to be working on rolling out ABS to all 30(!!) MLB parks next season!! this is the biggest rollout we’ve ever done, and i did kind of cry a little at the thought of having to support 15 brand new ABS venues simultaneously on opening weekend, but i’m still excited
i will leave the looking back on this season to people more eloquent than me, and i’m probably gonna go watch some anime about how emo i right NOW, but i can’t lie and say i’m not excited looking forward to what we at BDP have in store for next year!!!
one thing they don’t tell you about working with a team versus working for the league is that when you get knocked out of the playoffs with a team you get a few days to be emo about it but with the league when the team you root for gets eliminated you gotta get right back to work afterwards
