yes!! bak kut teh is pork but there barely is any of the porky smell/taste if u don’t like that! but the star of the show for the soup is the herbs and seasoning that go into it honestly it’s perfect for the winter

oh and for books i loved this is how you lose the time war by amal el-mohtar, on women by susan sontag and red rising by pierce brown!

omg ahhh okay so most of the soups i love are asian LMFAO but my top three are miso soup (super easy to make), pho (try to get it at chinatown/where the viets in your town live) and bak kut teh (pretty difficult to find in the states but you can try the asian supermarket for the seasoning packets)
