I used to write annual blog posts about my reading, but lately I've had a stretch where reading's difficult. It's hard work both to read and to get what I want from the experience.

Told spouse how I resent not only how much WORK it's taking me to recover from last 8+ years, but how much TIME. He pointed out in a humane society burnout is treated as an illness. You'd get 6 months, a year, at 60 or 80% pay so you could STOP WORKING (the only "cure" for burnout) and REST.
