Ooh the spider webs!
Ooh the spider webs!
Those are cute! My daughter wore one of the spring ones to an event this year and it was a perfect "fancy" mask option. She wears xxs but I just ordered some xs frames to try. Honestly I don't buy many of the fancy ones because they're more expensive and my kids can go through more than one a day.
I finally got around to ordering and you're out of the XS frames! Any idea when they'll be available again?
Doug Ford doesn't care about Ontario's school children.
GenAI has severe Dunning Kruger syndrome.
Now would be a great time for @ndp.ca, @canadiangreens.bsky.social & Bloq to push for electoral reform in ex. for stable support.
I'm happy with the outcome but hope this isn't the final slide into a 2 party system. Vote splitting and strategic voting with FPTP isn't much better.
Thank you Quebec. Thank you progressives. Thank you Carleton <3

Do you (or anyone) know if there's somewhere to track the polls as they come in? Specifically the early vs. day-of polls?
Thanks! I was confused about how that wouldn't just delay everything, especially with such widespread advanced voting this time.
CBC said early votes tend to come in later, but the reporting comes in by poll. How does that work? If you do advanced voting do you technically belong to a different poll than the one on election day?
Starbucks prohibits food-service employees from preventing the spread of infectious disease. Enjoy your coffee.
Advanced polls were as busy as election day this morning! I hope this is a promising sign of high turnout.
Why is CBC reporting on the debate outside? Are they locked out? They look chilly.
Sure, I try not to spend much time on that site anymore. But I'm happy to support quality masks.
Credit where credit is due - the new GRT app makes casual riding a lot easier than having to find change or buy a card. It's great when you happen to need to get between two places that are connected by the iON. Hopefully in time coverage will expand so that happens more often.
Oooh I love the dark straps on the purple! Is that coming to the adult sizes?
We need to talk about @rachelgilmore.bsky.social
Our democracy is not going to make it without strong journalists. Let me begin by stating the obvious: these thoughts are mine alone. They do not speak for my employers. They are personal and, at this moment, angry. #cdnmedia

This is disappointing but not surprising.
NEW: CTV cancelled a fact-checking segment in response to political pressure from Pierre Poilievreβs Conservatives
An audio recording obtained by PressProgress shows CTV cancelled an βelection misinformationβ segment with journalist Rachel Gilmore after online backlash from conservatives
π¨ NIH sent out another data call, this time for projects "related to any form of censorship at all or directing people to believe one idea over another related to health outcomesβ¦ e,g., any contracts to promote COVID vaccine uptake," I'm told.
These data calls have recently preceded terminations.
I hate now the media amplifies the right's performative pearl clutching over everything. They need to learn the difference between "asking tough questions" and "just asking questions".
Another day another irresponsible CBC article spreading dangerous and misleading 'normalcy' propaganda. This time pathologizing a child for being smarter than the adults in his life. The radio discussion with @ramraajh.bsky.social was just as outrageous as the article.

It's social immunity debt!
I wonder how they'll keep it up with the kids who weren't in school yet.
You should have heard the discussion on Here and Now about it yesterday. It was disgusting how they talked about that kid who is clearly smarter than the adults in his life that bullied him into conformance. Apparently he wore a mask to school until last year.
Quirks & Quarks just ran a story about the severe, cumulative, & possibly irreversible damage of repeated infections. Then within days they publish this garbage downplaying ongoing risks, gaslighting a child, & not once considering the virus itself as a factor. Completely irresponsible "reporting".
Please please try to include kids that still mask (or are pressured not to) and those that have switched to home/virtual/alt school. Learning / socializing /teaching while sick or with LC symptoms in a system that openly gaslights anyone that recognizes it must have a huge impact on kids that age.
Does anyone know who is behind @protectingcanada.bsky.social ? They clearly have resources but there's not much info on their website.

After 4 years of crickets from Health Canada and Public Health in general, I'll believe it when I see it.
