Mapping the genetic landscape across 14 psychiatric disorders - Nature
Genomic analyses applied to 14 childhood- and adult-onset psychiatric disorders identifies five underlying genomic factors that explain the majority of the genetic variance of the individual disorders...
1/4 Thrilled to be sharing new work published today in Nature describing the third wave of results from the PGC Cross-Disorder Group. This reflects a massive group effort to examine shared and unique genetic signal across >1 million cases for 14 psychiatric disorders. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Concerns About Genetic Risk Testing for Opioid Use Disorder
We lay out three consensuses from the field of psychiatric genetics that should be considered before approving genetic tests for psychiatric disorders. The letter was signed by 140 experts in psychiatric genetics and published in Lancet Psychiatry. Now on Pubmed: pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...

Sample size, discovery power, and effect size of lead SNPs were the strongest determinants of enrichment, as opposed to biological function. I hope it serves as a demonstration of the practical benefit of scientific discovery. I'd like to thank my Coauthors.

Those disorders with larger sample sizes in their GWAS discovery set were significantly enriched for current treatments for those disorders. Those were, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, MDD, and SUDs. Those disorders with smaller samples were not (yet!) enriched.

There are articles out there on lesions in deep neural networks in many applications. LLMs can do it in multiple ways, one is attention mapping (as @michelnivard.bsky.social pointed out). Do you know what they used the lesion to test? Was it attention or something else? It would help me find it.

Could be an early fungal infection given the yellowing around the leaves. It doesnβt seem to be a pest. If the leaves are falling off prematurely, Iβd look to see if spots with yellowing keep showing up and start to spread. Septoria would be my guess but not sure. Also could be simple singing.
