The STA will be raising the alarm over the cuts to public education at the next School Board Meeting on June 11. We encourage members to attend and wear red in expression of our collective anger and grief over cuts to vital services.

The BCTF is offering support to members impacted and those grieving by hosting a virtual debrief and processing space on May 8, 2025 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, which will be open to all self-identifying Filipino/a/x members. Write to antiracism@bctf.ca to RSVP.

We are looking to give 2 awards of $2,000 each, open to any current Grade 12 student or recent graduate (within the last 24 months) of a Surrey public secondary school or learning centre who identifies as Indigenous.
