Nice pun there Pattinson. β€œVery cool” can only mean one thing… Half Life 3 confirmed!

I’m not sure how closely you’ve been following β€œthe world,” but I’m not sure it deserves much of anything.

I think it’s probably the most disappointing end to a movie series I’ve ever seen. It just feels so lazily constructed.

That is completely irrelevant. Trump is horrible and should have been impeached and imprisoned. That doesn’t make this pardon right.

02.12.2024 03:15 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

That might be true, but it doesn’t make it morally right. It’s also true that Trump and his children never would have received the amount of attention to their business affairs if he hadn’t become president. That doesn’t mean it will be acceptable when Trump starts throwing around pardons either.

The two things are completely unrelated: Trump is horrible and Hunter is guilty of crimes. Hunter (a man in his mid-50s) committed tax fraud and illegally owned a firearm. He also abandoned (and continues to disown) his young daughter, but unfortunately that is not a crime in this country.

02.12.2024 02:44 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Why are people acting like Hunter Biden is an innocent political victim? Yes, he received extra scrutiny due to his family name. He has also received tremendous benefits throughout his life due to that name, and the things he is being charged with are not made up. He has done truly horrible things.

What’s your favorite Christmas song?

I’ll go first: β€œGood King Wenceslas” by Menna. This version completely transforms the classic carol and elevates the poetry of the original poem.

I completely agree. Once you get a feel for how these types of mysteries are constructed, the endings almost start to feel inevitable. I can’t remember the last time I read a classic murder mystery and was completely shocked by who the killer turned out to be. It would be nice to be surprised again.

That’s cool! It’s one of those great Christie mysteries in which, even if you solve it early, she makes you second guess yourself before the ending.
