Begonia tenuifolia, a highly variable tuberous species from Indonesia. #Begonia

Chopping time.

Begonia paulensis. Sadly this species can't be propped from leaf, only rhizome cuttings or growing from seed work. However the leaves are so big when you prop the rhizome you still need to remove the big ones.

Been super busy here is a new Begonia hybrid I've been working on.

I do sell and trade but I am living in Thailand so shipping is pretty expensive. If you know anyone who comes to the Bangkok International Exotic Plant show that's one way to get some of my stuff.

Begonia dregei 'Tweedle Dee' x Maculata. I've done this hybrid a few times now but this version holds the white edges on the leaves.

Polka Dot Begonia is just a generic term for spotted cane Begonias. Typically it means Begonia maculata and similar hybrids.

Begonia identification can be rather complicated and sometimes comes down to the flowers. I think this species from Laos is most likely not identified yet.

If it's a limestone species you will want more airy rocky soil and maybe add some akadama.

It kinda depends on the Begonia but in most cases you want very well draining soil to prevent root rot.. I usually start with a mix of pumice, perlite, peatmoss, cocoapeat, biochar and worm castings. Amino acid seaweed liquid fertilizer also does wonders.
