A Cat Too Far

I still have 11 (yes, really!) external hard drives to connect (they contain all my photos) and THEN I should be finished.

Ugh. I’ve gone from Windows 10 to 11, and it’s fought back every step of the way. I have a ridiculous amount of hardware/software/apps that all needed to be customized… and some days it was easier to just put it off.

Sorry for the radio silence. My computer has been acting up and I think it’s getting ready to have a catastrophic failure. I’ve had to tiptoe around using it (therefore, no photo work… even this post took over an hour to finally get on line.)

Just a couple more days until I have my new set up… 🤞

It looks like Native American Seed seedsource.com carried it at one point. I've ordered from them many times. Maybe they'd know who carries it now?

I’m finding more depth of meaning in cat photography than I ever imagined. Composition comes naturally to me, since I’ve been an artist my entire life… but I’m often astonished by the story that lies just below the surface of many of my photos…

Three black Voids are sitting and/or standing in front of a window that looks out on a lush green backyard. One cat is atop a wooden stepstool, while the other two are on the wide window sill. The cats are backlit; therefore, they are almost completely in silhouette. The grain of the photo has been amplified to hide the fact that the photographer took a blurry photo. (But I already admitted to that publicly… so there!)

I had planned on making this a Cats Noir entry, but I just love the green of the ivy too much! It was slightly out of focus, so I made it look like an old-fashioned, low-quality, drugstore photo print.

I think I nailed it!

Thank you!! It was WONDERFUL. Relaxing, exciting, invigorating… sometimes all at once! It was a car trip through The Texas Hill Country which I hadn’t done in 25 years. I took some friends with me and we had a blast. Pictures WILL be forthcoming. 😸
