DOGE said it was cutting government waste.
So they gutted USAID β the agency that feeds starving people around the world.
Meanwhile the Pentagon spent millions on lobster, ribeye, and even a $98,000 piano.

BREAKING NYT:
An ongoing military investigation has determined that the United States is responsible for a deadly Tomahawk missile strike on an Iranian elementary school, according to U.S. officials and others familiar with the preliminary findings. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/11/u...
Stop hitting schools and hospitals!
It's all three, but there's also something else: weak, atrophied brains.
Typos are one thing but elite messages go beyond that, they show an inability to communicate beyond mere urges and feelings, and the reason they can't communicate beyond those is because they can't think through those.
From these maps alone, I'm struggling to see how this month *doesn't* end up as the warmest March in contiguous U.S. history, perhaps by a long shot.

It's looking increasingly like these guys thought that if they could wreak more death and destruction than the other side then they would be respected as strong powerful men and they would "win" and that would make them big important heroes. Very possibly they had no rationale deeper than that.
Media: More questions to him like this one from reporter Shawn McCreesh, please!

Itβs like not a single person surrounding Trump studied one thing about Afghanistan. When a bombing campaign intentionally makes life this miserable for civilians, all it does it make hardline leadership more attractive and become bulletin board material for extremist groups.
BREAKING via REUTERS
As many as 150 U.S. troops wounded so far in Iran war.
(Article will be linked below)
These people are so incompetent that they didn't distinguish between Iran & Venezuela, trashed US-Gulf alliances, probably have zero idea what's happening in shipping insurance markets & supply chains, & are about to find out the downstream domestic effects of rising fertilizer prices on US farmers.
I choose my adjectives carefully. This forecast is downright absurd.
The first 90- and 100-degree readings of the year might occur more than two months earlier than normal in many cities.
Palm Springs may reach 110Β°F next week. It would also be the highest March temperature ever measured in CA.
One of Californiaβs most startling weather events in recent memory is set to unfold over the next 10 days, a spell that could shatter records by extraordinary margins.
Daily temperature records are a near guarantee. Monthly records are likely. Highs as much as 30 degrees above normal are forecast.
Good words of warning here. AI models are generally designed to read and incorporate (and, in a sense, believe) virtually everything they find online, with very few guardrails. The information can get divorced from its original source, context, & rebuttals or retractions. That's a really big problem
Honestly, I am absolutely disgusted by academics suggesting that AI can do the reading and writing for you. At a certain point, what you're bragging about is fraud. And in a broader sense, what you're contributing to is the erosion of knowledge and the destruction of trust in academic publishing.

The Improv War.
Sometimes when people say, "That'll be the first line of his obituary," they're right. Alexander Butterfield told a single crucial truth, and there it is, in the first sentence, 53 years later. Will any Trumper be memorialized for even one honest moment? I doubt it. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/u...
Imagine the reaction in the US if ~175 schoolgirls had been killed by a targeted Iranian missile. (Or anyone's missile.)
This is an atrocity.
π¨BREAKING: President Donald Trump urged House Republicans Monday to halt legislative business until the Senate passes the SAVE America Act.
But in new comments, the top Senate Republican again questioned whether the bill can realistically advance. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
Trump did not announce a U.S. policy then walk it back. That is not what happened, and media presenting it that way does a disservice.
Trump said words he thought might appeal to his audience in the moment, with no connection to actual policy, then did that again with a different question/asker.
So no new bills, no new judges, no new appointments. How is that honestly a bad thing
tomorrow Leavitt will be asked about this and sneeringly reply βhe was very clear, only woke commies like you wouldnβt understandβ
Itβs almost like they have no plan.
If youβre roughly my age, itβs wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected β young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! β and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
