"The types of bets that Kalshi, Polymarket, and DraftKings and FanDuel have would make an eighties Vegas guy, he would blush red at the idea of stealing that much money from you. And that's what's normalized now inside of the system."

But, but, but my sister, who works for a major bank, swears that they have lots of job openings that either no one wants or that no one is qualified for. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

At BEST they knew what Epstein was and didn’t care. At worst they participated.
Yet even now speaker Johnson and the gop don’t care.

Not a hoax and never was
Agree.

RIP Catherine O'Hara, who managed to steal every scene she was in
Yesterday Connecticut Nat'l Public Radio did an episode on my new PM show: "A Few Thoughts for Those Who Can't Sleep."
I usually beam in between 10 and 11 PM on my YouTube channel (honestly--just before I go to sleep).
If you'd like to take a listen, here's a link.

A thing about certain funny women like Catherine O’Hara—I think also and especially of Eileen Brennan and Madeline Kahn—is that it’s hard often to describe why or even how they’re funny. They just are.
One thing to watch: Very real possibility that FEMA screws up response to the ginormous winter storm pummeling the country right now, in part because Trump has gutted the agency. But then Dems block funding for DHS, in which FEMA is housed, and so get incorrectly blamed

TSLA is bleeding out in real time and it is glorious.
To those blaming Walz for not mobilizing the Guard, he did that six days ago. I have to say it's disturbing to see people angry at Walz instead of the government agents that just executed a man. As though we should all be experts about what to do when a secret police force invades an American city.
Man, I bet the NRA is going to be furious when they hear that jack-booted thugs from the federal government executed a law-abiding citizen for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a handgun.
Any second now, I'm sure.
He was a white guy, if that helps?
Hello? NRA?
If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.
Murdering people to get what they want.
Extortion.
This is not about immigration.
That’s a mask playing on hate.
Farm bankruptcies in the first half of 2025 exceeded the total for all of 2024. In October 2025, the gap between farmers’ production costs and the prices they received for their goods was the widest in a decade

I can’t keep repeating this over and over.
They are coming for everyone.
I am watching what is happening in Minneapolis on Ali Velshi and one of the ICE officers (off camera) literally says, “It’s like Call of Duty. Pretty cool huh?” as they shoot whatever it is they are shooting. Agents walking around, guns unholstered for no reason. This is insanity
I am waiting for full details but so far all indications are that this person - living in a state where you can carry a firearm with a permit - was disarmed before DHS shot five times.
this is why i worry we may be stuck in an infinite doom loop of the party out of power promising lower prices, the incumbents getting ejected, incoming party unable to reduce prices either, rinse and repeat
Americans thinking the crisis is over is precisely why we’re in a crisis to begin with. www.thebulwark.com/p/the-crisis...
When Julia Fisher’s students learned to read, many schools had moved away from traditional phonics. Instead of sounding out words, the new approach had students rely more on guesswork. She writes about what happens when students start thinking like bots:
While Donald Trump and his team reshape American democracy to consolidate power in himself, his pals in the Supreme Court majority are busy reconfiguring the actual Constitution.
"Very hard to see how this doesn't end badly."
