TL;DR:

Yes, it's great to be solid, it's great to be able to play a mental chess match with the top players of your game, but Johnny Donuts is going to come after you in pools with the one punch they've practiced a thousand times and you gotta have a plan when, not if, you get punched in the mouf.

Finding out people's basest instincts when there's 1000 imaginary points and a .png on the line has become a topic of endless fascination for me. It also tests what I'm going to do about it when that instinctual habit rears its head during a time of crisis. Do I have an answer prepared?
