The good thing is that socks always get a little fuzzed up from wear so it would blend right in! After binding off a cuff, I now don't cut the yarn until I've tried it on and am absolutely sure the cuff is stretchy enough. I had to learn that lesson so. many. times. I still fear it, haha.
I'm a cuff down girl, too! 20 years and I still don't like how tight one side of the toe always looks no matter what tricks I try on toe-up. And binding off the cuff never looks as good or is as stretchy as a cast on cuff. Your toe is looking nice and even so whatever you're doing, keep it up!
