Yeaaa it takes a lot to unlearn that. I also grew up with a family member who had cerebral palsy so like any “little” thing I deal with is CLEARLY not a “problem” comparatively. But it’s like!! Damn I can’t live without at least addressing these disabilities and trying to live with them better
and also I feel you between long covid stuff and my sciatica I'm not able to go long stretches out most of the time without constant rest I hate that shit so bad I just wanna walk 2 da park
No yea i was like that for years. Tried to accept that my disability was for other reasons, not because like my body was "broken." But honestly admitting to it helps me feel a little bit better abt stuff, even if it's hard to get things marked out to actually benefit from SSI and shit
