I was thinking that it was some sort of timeline were they got stuck on Amphibia at a young age and the stones were stuck-ish to them, and each one is raised by their respectives found families (toads, frogs, newts), so they get the "more rustic vibe" of Amphiba (sorry if it doesn't make sense)
